Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2 November 2026
Shammasi Social is a service of Shammasi Pty Ltd (ABN 92 653 318 202), 5/531 Hay St, Subiaco WA 6008 ("we", "us"). This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and what you can do about it. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
1. What we collect
- When you ask for free sample posts or sign up: your name, email address, mobile number, business website and Instagram handle.
- Public business information: to find businesses we could help and to make sample posts, we look at information a business publishes itself: its website, its Google Business listing, its public social media profiles and the contact email shown on its own website.
- When you become a client: your billing details (handled by our payment provider; we never see or store your full card number), the details of the people who check your posts, and the material you give us, such as your logo, photos, wording, and a short video of a presenter if you choose a presenter video.
- When you use our website: basic technical information such as your browser type and pages visited. We use a security check (Cloudflare Turnstile) to block spam. If we later use advertising tools such as the Meta Pixel, we will update this policy first.
2. Why we use it
- To make and send your free sample posts, and to contact you about them.
- To provide the service: making, checking and publishing your social media content, replying to comments, and sending your reports.
- To take payment and manage your account.
- To send business emails to businesses whose contact email is published on their own website, about a service relevant to that business. Every email says who we are and how to stop hearing from us. If you ask us to stop, we stop and we keep your address on a do-not-contact list so it isn't used again.
We do not sell personal information.
3. Who we share it with
We use trusted service providers to run Shammasi Social. They only use your information to provide their service to us:
- HighLevel (customer records, forms, email and text messages, payments)
- Cloudflare (website hosting, data storage and security)
- Instantly (business email sending)
- Anthropic (AI writing tools used to draft content)
- HeyGen (presenter videos, only if you choose one)
- Google, Meta (Facebook and Instagram), LinkedIn and Storrito (publishing your posts to your own accounts)
Some of these providers store or process information outside Australia, mainly in the United States. We choose providers that protect information to a standard comparable to Australian law.
4. Presenter videos and photos
If you give us a video or photos of a person, you confirm that the person agreed to it being used in your posts. A presenter's likeness is used only for your business's content, and we delete the presenter source video when the service ends, unless you ask us to keep it.
5. How long we keep it
Free sample pages are private and are removed after 60 days. Client information is kept while you are a client and for up to 7 years afterwards where the law requires us to keep records (for example, tax records). Do-not-contact entries are kept so we can honour them.
6. Keeping it safe
Access to personal information is limited to the people and systems that need it, connections are encrypted, and keys and passwords are stored securely. If a data breach is likely to cause serious harm, we will tell the people affected and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as the law requires.
7. Your choices and rights
- Stop emails: reply "stop" to any of our emails, or email us.
- See or correct your information: email us and we will respond within 30 days.
- Delete: ask us to delete your information and we will, unless the law requires us to keep it.
8. Questions and complaints
Email amir@shammasi.com.au or write to Shammasi Pty Ltd, 5/531 Hay St, Subiaco WA 6008. We will reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
